Please join me in congratulating the 2019 DREAM Scholarship awardees! This year we received an outstanding 54 applications and as daunting that it was, we were able to select 3 deserving students to receive $500 to help outfit their dorm room with essentials. Congratulations to Cyera M. who will be attending Saginaw Valley University, Jewel H. who will be attending University of Toledo and Taylor S. who will be attending Michigan State University.

GIVE Club is so pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 DREAM (Dorm Room Essentials and Miscellaneous) Scholarship!!

The organization received some very exceptional applications for the $500 Scholarship and unfortunately, the members were only able to select one applicant. However, due to the generosity of donors and other compelling applications, we elected to provide two additional students a grant of $250 to assist in their dorm room essentials.

Due to COVID-19, our organization had to pivot and adjust along with the rest of the country. Since going to school and off to college had changed, we had to change with it.

In 2020, we adjusted the DREAM Scholarship so that we could accommodate more students and provide them with some essentials for a safe journey to college. We were able to provide almost two dozen graduating high school students with a $25 gift card and a bag filled with a year's supply of PPE (disposable medical masks, hand sanitizers, and disinfectant sprays). Please join us in wishing all of the graduates a safe and bountiful year!

Paying for college can be a huge burden with tuition, books, student housing and other bills adding up fast. Budgets are tight, expenses are high, and scholarships are hard to come by but GIVE Club wants to help.

Students who apply for this year's DREAM (Dorm Room Essentials And Miscellaneous) Scholarship will have a chance to be chosen to receive a $25 gift card and a one year supply of PPE (disposable masks, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant spray) to help them stay safe while at school.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must
* Reside in the metropolitan Detroit area
* Be a 2020 High School graduate & first year, incoming freshman
* "Like" GIVE Club on Facebook and/or Follow our page on "Instagram"
* Complete the online application by 9pm EST Monday, August 3, 2020
* If chosen as a winner, be able to provide proof of enrollment
* If chosen as a winner, upon presentation of the grant, agree to write a thank you letter that we can share with our generous donors

Application Opens: Monday, July 20, 2020

Deadline for submission: Monday, August 4, 2020 at 9:00pm EST.

Scholarships Recipients will be notified Saturday, August 8, 2020 & informed of where to meet on Sunday, August 9, 2020. *Please practice social distancing guidelines.
